Syndey is this week's winner due to her high work ethic and constant positive energy she brings to the Griffin band and classroom! A little overdue, but HUGE congratulations to Alyssa Hoscheid and Max Traengan for their incredible performance at last month’s AcDec competition at Bellevue University! Alyssa took home GOLD in Social Science, Music, Science, and Economics, while Max earned SILVER in Science and Economics. We’re also thrilled to host the Regional AcDec competition next Saturday!

We took a quick break for Thanksgiving but we are back with this week's Griffin of the Week! This week's winner is Rebekah Carnine! Rebekah is a 9th grader whose leadership, positive attitude, and encouragement of her classmates were quickly noticed by her teachers at GEHS. Even though she was new to the building this year, she quickly became involved in clubs like Green Team and Hope Squad! Her positive attitude and leadership abilities have been a great addition to the Griffin school community! #GoGriffs

Your Week 9 Griffin of the Week Award Winners are... Nolan Green and Caden Bullard! These students showed great selfless leadership qualities by staying after the Gretna East and Gretna football game and picking up trash on the visitors' side without being asked or expecting any kind of compensation. This is all on top of being positive leaders in the student section during the game as well! #GoGriffs

Video Production and Journalism students took a tour of KETV and made some connections with professionals in the field. Hope to see a few internships in the not-to-distant-future. Thanks to KETV for creating a great experience for our kids.
