Dear Griffin Families,
We are excited to share the opportunities Gretna East offers students signing or committing to their chosen college, university, or military branch. This is a time to celebrate your student’s hard work and dedication, whether they have:
Committed to a college or university to play a sport or participate in an activity (scholarship or walk-on).
Accepted a full-ride academic scholarship.
Made the honorable decision to join one of America’s military branches.
Signing days are a special way to recognize these achievements. Below are the scheduled signing dates for this school year:
Nov 13th: Official D1 & D2 Fall signing day (except Football) – JUCO, NAIA, and D3 commitments are welcome to sign this day
Dec 4th: Official D1 Football Early signing day – all levels are welcome
Feb. 5th: Official D1 & D2 Football Regular signing day – all levels are welcome
April (TBD) - Academic/Military Signing Day
As arranged – Individual or Group Signing (Activities Department will work with you to set these up)

Once the form is completed, further details will be provided as the date approaches by Mr. Garder or Mr. Moore. If you are planning to hold an individual signing, please follow up with an email to both Mr. Garder (rgarder@gpsne.org) and Mr. Moore (kmoore@gpsne.org) to begin the planning process. You may be asked to provide the following information:
Preferred date for the signing.
Preferred location within the school.
Estimated number of attendees.
