Prom is an exclusive event for Gretna East juniors and seniors, each allowed to bring one guest.
If your guest is another GEHS junior or senior, no additional steps are required.

Outside guests must meet one of the following criteria:

• A freshman or sophomore at Gretna East

• A freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at another high school (including Gretna High)

• A recent high school graduate under the age of 20

To bring an outside guest, students must:

• Submit the Guest Registration Google Form

• Complete and return the Guest Permission Document

• Attend a mandatory meeting during prom week

All forms are due by Wednesday, April 9.

We believe every student should have the opportunity to attend prom. If the cost of formal wear or tickets presents a challenge, please contact your school counselor. Local resources are available, and we’re happy to help.

All juniors and seniors are eligible for prom court.

• Juniors may be selected as Prince or Princess

• Seniors may be selected as King or Queen

Students who prefer not to be considered should email Mrs. Chingren or Mr. Garder to remove their name.

Prom royalty will be selected through two rounds of voting:

1. Round one determines the members of prom court

2. Round two determines who is crowned
